Things We Do
The Sydenham Conservation Foundation (SCF) is a non-profit, non-political, charitable organization, which was incorporated in 1991 and registered with the Canada Revenue Agency for tax-deductible donation purposes. It was formed by several local, concerned conservationists to address, in part, the problem of rapidly disappearing public access to environmentally sensitive lands, waters, and forests.
Projects and Lands We Own
The Sydenham Conservation Foundation (SCF) has been actively involved in conservation efforts across Ontario, primarily focusing on Grey and Bruce Counties, since its inception in 1992. Managed by five elected directors with diverse backgrounds in education, administration, and natural resources, the foundation leverages this expertise to achieve its objectives.

Over the past few decades, the SCF has successfully purchased over 1,500 acres in the Township of Georgian Bluffs and the geographic Township of Sullivan, now part of the Township of Chatsworth, Grey County. These lands, located within the Pottawatomi, Sydenham, Sauble, and Saugeen River watersheds, are critical to our conservation mission.
